MAKE SURE TO RESPOND TO THE EMAIL YOU GET AFTER YOU REGISTER!
What is pre-registering as opposed to RSVPing/telling us you plan to come, etc.:
In order to pre-register you need to give us payment 2 weeks before event 1 and you get a discount ($55 for cabins, $30 to tent) and get first pick of locations.
In order to RSVP as definite you need to give us payment at the event and you get the discount above. If pre-registered people fill the bunks in cabins you won't get one, otherwise it's first registered, first served. YOU LOSE YOUR SPOT IF YOU'RE NOT THERE FRIDAY NIGHT AND DON'T MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH STAFF.
If you RSVP, don't show up and don't cancel well in advance of the event you may lose the right to RSVP in the future.
If you intend to come but aren't willing to commit for sure you should let us know, you will not get a discount but will receive priority over unannounced 'at the door' people for cabin space and we will plan plot as though you were coming.
This is first come first serve so we recommend registering early. Unfortunately we NEED to keep a record of this so replies to this post, IMs, phone calls, in person statements, etc. won't count as pre-registration or RSVPing.
How much does an event cost?
Pre-registering/RSVPing as definite costs $55 for a cabin, and $30 for tenting space.
Other options cost $65 for a cabin (which isn't guaranteed) and $35 for tenting space.
One/Twelve of my friends are coming to S&C but can't get their act together and register... can I register for them?
We discourage this but because of the way our system is set up we can't prevent it. Except in cases where players literally do not have access to email at all whatsoever any player who registers will get an email from us, if they respond back their registration is valid and they're considered responsible for it. If we have reason to believe people are trying to screw with the system we may void their registration. Because we want to maximize the number of players and the amount of space at game this is the only way we can handle this, and we're sorry if it inconveniences anyone.
What's the food situation and why can't I find a place to buy a meal plan?
Everyone gets a hot dinner saturday, breakfast on saturday and sunday (may be hot or cold) and snacks/coffee/etc. for free. Bring a few bucks because snacks will be sold throughout the day, things like grilled cheese, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, etc. You can give money to staff when you check in on Friday night and we'll 'put it on your tab' so you don't need to carry real money around in game.
I want to use paypal, where's the paypal link?
We'll put it up in time for the 2 week deadline. If we don't those of you who have pre-registered and are counting on paypal can pay the discounted rate at the door.
When is check-in? When does the event end?
Check in will begin at 6 on the Friday of every event and run until 8. We hope to have game on by 9:00. Normal check in will be kept open until at least 10:00, if you're later than that there will still be someone around to deal with your checkin, but it may take longer so try to come in on time.
I don't want to share my cabin with anyone but my team!/How do I make sure I bunk with certain people.
Unless your team can fill a cabin and can pre-register quickly the only way to guarantee you won't need to share sleeping space is to tent, sorry, we anticipate a pretty full campsite and lots of players are the ultimate asset for any game. If you have preference for who you bunk with include it in the comments section of the form on the registration page. We will do everything we can to accomodate players with these sorts of preferences on a first come, first serve basis.
What are cabins like?
What are bathrooms like?
Our cabins sleep 8-10 in bunks, have shutters, screens and electricity. They are 14' X 14' and in season 1 we will have 4 up and running. We have plans for more.
The bunks are large (twin bed sized, if not a little bigger) wooden frames. Staff will provide yoga mats to sleep on but we recommend investing in a folding futon mat, heavy comforter or air mattress.
There is one bathroom with boys/girls facilities. There is only one shower, which is outdoor (but enclosed for privacy).
I want a cabin but I have an air mattress and don't want a bunk... what are my options?
People who want floorspace in cabins should reserve a cabin and make a note of it. If space is at a premium people who do this may get a discount. There is also a possibility that the smaller of the module rooms could be cleared out for player sleeping space.
I want to sleep two to a bunk!
Contact staff about this. It shouldn't be a problem and if space is scarce we may offer you a discount in this case.
I'm willing to use a tent but don't own one.
Staff will likely have tents for loan. Get in touch with us ahead of time to find out.
I'm bringing a tent but don't want it to get damaged.
Players are allowed to make their tents in-game areas or not, but in any case combat is not allowed within 10 feet of a camp marked as a 'non-combat space' with a big red sign.
I want to dress my cabin up but am not sure others I'm sharing with will go along with my scheme.
Players who are willing to dress their cabins get preference over those who aren't. S&C sincerely hopes each cabin will be a well maintained, good looking in game location where play can take place. In addition to getting preference there are XP rewards for cool/useful cabin dressing.
I have a question that isn't addressed here.
Put it in the comments section of the registration form or drop an email to staff@be-epic.com
